PRETTY LIGHTS will be hosting an unforgettable indoor/outdoor evening with top-notch performances by Ana Sia, Daedelus, KRADDY, Gift of Gab (of Blackalicious) and many more, including yours truly, This is ART! Doors @ 6pm starting with unbelievable regional talent including Karius Vega, Kidsmeal, DEX, Truly Grimy and Bowie Van Ling. This is ART will be scheduled inside at 9pm, followed by an amazing outdoor performance by Ana Sia and finally, PRETTY LIGHTS! White Noise and KRADDY will keep the inside popping 'till 3am.

This is ART returns to Knoxville, TN, opening for INFECTED MUSHROOM & Dieselboy on Thursday, May 6th! After that, we'll be making a short trip to Johnson City, TN on Friday, May 7th to sit in with our good friend DJ Flourite while we tear up a set of Truly Grimy (Live Band) with special guests Spook Nasty, Drum vs Speaker, and DAILON! Next up, the outdoor events begin with a homegrown grassroots festival called BOOMBUTYWAH May 21st-22nd, just outside of Knoxville in Kingston, TN, featuring THE MALAH, This is ART, Ga-Na-Si-Ta, Dangermuffin, Arpetrio, and more! Kingston is about 40-50 minutes from Downtown Knoxville which lends itself as an incredible place to optically view the visible parts of the Milky Way Galaxy!
Our final destination of the summer awaits us as DEXFEST 2010 pops off on June 17th-20th in Dandridge, TN, featuring Conspirator, EOTO, Telepath, Starkey, Big Gigantic, Two Fresh, Count Bass D, Mindelixir, and many more. This will be one of This is ART's last shows as a duo! Miles Cramer will be moving to Asheville, NC to develop a health-conscious loose leaf tea distribution business called Smiles Tea. Based around fair-trade and holistic practices, Smiles Tea is a fine tea company focused on bringing the pleasures and benefits of loose leaf tea to everyone and making this intricate habit easy for those on the go. As for me, I'll continue to perform under the stripped down alias of This is ART, while also producing and remixing tracks for artists, creating sleek website designs, and helping book shows for upcoming regional talent. It's true, This is ART is actually scheduled to perform at CAMP BISCO 9 on Saturday, July 17th from 1am - 2am at the Sunrise Silent Disco tent! Each participant is issued a pair of wireless headphones that will pick up on the DJ's audio signal from within the tent. This is ART will be performing in ((STEREOPHONIC)) sound, using extremely realistic 3D soundscapes for the sake of confusing the brain into thinking its in another physical dimension! The trick is by using a recording technique called Binaural recording:

Starting with Thursday, March 11th, This is ART will be hitting up Dharma Lounge in Charlotte, NC with DJ Bowie to blow up an afterparty for the STS9 show - followed by a stay in Chattanooga, TN for a poppin' weekend bash thru Saturday, March 13th where we'll be celebrating the birthday of our beloved drummer, Miles Cramer @ Market Street Tavern! Then, after hashing out some new songs & material, we plan on rolling thru Johnson City, TN on March 26th to match our good friend Truly Grimy for an evening of mind melting mayhem with "This is GRIMY" @ Cahootenany's! If that's not enough for your raging self, expect to get your face fooled on April 1st @ 12th & Porter in Nashville, TN where we'll be opening for Pnuma Trio and Break Science feat. Adam Deitch!
